Some people were born to roam

Today was tiring, however I didn’t do much. I woke up at 9am, showered, ate breakfast, got dressed, did all the usual things. Went to work at 1pm and did some photography for the online store, and now I am home, sitting on the couch with a rotton headache, watching The Simpsons. Well, I’m not really watching it, it’s just on as background noise. One more day until my parents are away for a week. A few more weeks until my Brisbane trip, where i get to see Kris and Danni and her beautiful baby Amelia. Ah, I can’t blog with this headache.

Until tomorrow…

Politics in Space

The power company turned the power off this morning from 9am until 3pm. I was home alone and utterly bored. I got up late, so by the time i was awake, i couldn’t make toast, i couldn’t even get myself a cup of tea (however i soon discovered i could boil water on the gas stove, lol). In the morning I took the dogs for a walk – I really should start exercising.  Afterwards, they went for a swim in the creek and shook all over me (luckily the weather was really quite lovely today), we walked back to the house and i gave them all a big plate of breakfast each, while they were munching I fixed myself something too. We all sat in the sun (where their fur dried and i attempted to get an autumn sun tan, which by the way, didn’t work out).

For the last week and a bit, I have absolutely been drooling over this Mink Pink Jacket.

Mink Pink Jacket $99.00

I honestly think the website where I saw it over charges on some things (my mother owns a fashion retail store and I am used to knowing the wholesale prices and how much things are supposed to be sold for retail, so I have  good sense of when someone is ripping me off. I think a lot of places over charge, especially in big cities. Basically this means I am rotton to go shopping with…). So, I might have a look around next time mum and I go up buying and see if I can get my hands on one of these beauties!

This is a great online store (however, I may be  a little bias due to the fact that i run it…) but we try to keep our prices low and our customers happy. One thing I am currently happy about is the new batwing sleeve crochet cardie we just got in. It’s fabulous and so warm. There are two colours (black and red) and @ just $39.95 for new winter stock it’s a must have!

Another trend I am happy about is leggings. However, i have seen some fashion disasters involving them. I just got myself a pair of wet look leggings, you know the shiny ones? Oh I am in love with them. I love how they are shiny, I love the little zippers near my ankles, I love how warm they keep my legs on the cooler nights. Sigh.

One thing I love most about winter (besides my birthday being in July) is the winter fashions. Leather Jackets <3, knitted mini dresses, leggings, cute beanies. Once (I think it was last year actually) when i was out opshopping with my mum, we came across the most adorable little beanie. A little old lady had knitted it and it looked almost tea cosyish. I ran into the store and took it down and it was heaven (lol). It was like that adorable little rainbow beanie was made for me. And it was only $5.00. And to this day, I absolutely love it.

Since I am too comfortable on the lounge with my Sausage dog snoring next to me, I won’t take a snapshot of said beanie, but i will leave you with some fabulous winter beanies that i also adore.
